To kick off my blog again I’m going to be producing a series of posts related to one of my biggest concerns right now which is my skincare regime. I am going to be reviewing some latest skincare purchases, I’ll be writing a post on whether to save or splurge when it comes to buying skincare and a little inside scoop on how i’m learning how to clear my skin up. So if you’re in the same boat and need some skincare SOS or just want to try out some new products keep your eye out this month for my skincare series.
So back when I didn’t know much about the beauty world, I didn’t have a care in the world about how my skin looked and how my makeup would apply on my rough, dry spotty skin. However as I got further into my teenage years, my skin got worse to the point where I was so self conscious and started to hate having to wear makeup on a daily basis for my job. At that point I was covered in some rather angry-looking, bright red raw spots which wasn’t fun to deal with in any way, and that’s exactly when I decided enough is enough, I need to start taking better care of my skin.
One lesson I did learn the bad way which almost every beauty blogger, makeup artist and beauty guru are against, is to NEVER EVER go to bed with your makeup on!!! Unfortunately I found this out the hard way as I soon realised me being lazy on the odd occasion and not getting rid of the makeup on my face at the end of the day, is the actual reason why I’d wake up with gross, dry and very spotty skin.
It never felt clean and I couldn’t actually see it getting better no matter what I used, within my regime I didn’t own much in the sense of an actual skincare routine to keep my skin healthy, it involved a pack of simple (sometimes tesco’s own brand) wipes, a simple moisturiser and a nivea cleansing milk. By having a pretty basic skincare routine with a pretty poor diet my skin wasn’t really going to improve unless I took time to research what it is that helps with healthy skin and investing more time into taking better care of my skin. After a year of working in a cosmetics company I can finally say I do have a little bit more knowledge on the basis of skin, how to treat problematic skin and the different types of skin. So over the next few weeks I am going to be introducing some new products I am currently using, tips and tricks I’ve learnt on how to clear up skin and how to keep it looking healthy and in better condition.
I hope this series of posts will be at least a bit helpful for some people and if any of you lovely people do know some great products, some tips and tricks you’ve learnt or just how your skincare routine works for you please comment below so I can carry on learning more about how to achieve healthy, glowy skin.
